Ascent & Berber Villages
- ITINERARY
- Day
01 :
arrival
and reception at Marrakesh airport.
Free choice evening . Night in the hotel
- Day
02 :
- transfer
,by minibus, to the foot of the massif of Toubkal(1350m), 60km away
from Marrakesh.
First contact with the muleteers team that comes from the village of
Imlil.
Beginning of the stroll by going upstream to the river of Anemane.
Bivouac near the village of Arg (1500m).2 hours walk.
- Day
03 :
- Still
progressing in the valley of Anemane. Several Berber villages:
Amssakrou, Ikis, Tameguiste, then, Tacheddirt at the end.
Biviouac up to 2290m.
5 hours walking.
- Day
04 :
- After
crossing the col of Tamatert (2279m), we penetrate the valley of
Imlil. Then, through a balcony path we join the village of Aremd
(1900m).
Night in a transit accommodation.
4 hours walk.

05 :
- From
this area, mountain scenery becomes stern and savage .
Regular ascent till the refuge of Neltner within an alpine
background.
Bivouac near the refuge which is 3200m high.
- Day
06 :
- Ascent
of Djebel Toubkal (4167m), the highest top in north Africa, no
technical difficulties within this operation (3h30mns), a panoramic
view over the south and the most beautiful summits of this massifs..
Return to the same bivouac. 6 to 7 hours activities.
- Day
07 :
- A
new descent to Sidi shamharoush, a hermitage which is frequented by
pilgrims coming from the four corners of the kingdom . We go on with
Imlil, a Four-hours descent .
Return to Marrakesh..
Free choice evening then, a night in the hotel.
- Day
08 :
- Last
visit ( optional) to Marrakesh if plane departure schedule allows
it.
Transfer to the airport and departure.
