Mount Toubkal Ascent & Berber Villages 8 days Package
This is your chance to climb Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4167m. Your view from the summit is staggering and will allow you to take in the expanse of not only the Saharan Desert plain, but the Berber villages, valleys and mountain range that encompasses them: the High Atlas.

To get there, you will travel some of the most incredible landscape that the region has to offer. You'll trek through forests, valleys, passes and plateaux, pausing for lunch and to take in the experience. You'll have the opportunity to interact with the local Berber tribes and to walk through lands of lush vegetation and fauna. You and your group will spend the nights in tents or bivouacs and enjoy the company of the local Amazighs for one evening.
In summer, you won’t require any equipment, but in winter, you will need crampons and ice axes.
This trek can easily be extended into a much longer adventure and can even be expanded into the desert with the addition of camels.

What to expect?
Day One: Marrakech
On your first day, you will arrive at Marrakech airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day Two: Marrakech - Oukaimden - Ousrtk
The first day is around 5 hours long and will begin with your arrival via arranged transport from Marrakech to the ski station in Oukaimden, here we see the ( Gravure Repustre) and summer shelter for animal that are used in summer by local people from the neighbouring valleys , start the trek from here to Ousrtk valley ia Tizi Oukaimden that allow you to see the whole valley. about 4 to 5 hours walk . night in gite
Day Three: Ousrtek - Amssakrou - Matat
Leave the Ousrtk valley hike crossing of the valley looking at the vllages and forst bellow , passing by Tizi Tighatn to get to Imnan valley on the Village of Amssakrou , lunch near the river and over the Tizi Aguersiwal pass 2050m to get to Matat Valley where we stay in Matat Gite , new guest house here . 6 to 7 hours walk.
Day Four: Matat - Tizi Oudite- Azzaden valley
6 hours of trekking crossing the Tizi Oudite at 2200m that leads to the beautiful Azzaden Valley with colourful villages and hills, the Azzaden River circled by homes, an amazing view of the Tazaghart Plateau and a huge section of the Atlas Mountain chain. Your evening will finish at 2700m in Tamsouit Lodge or in tents, dependent on the conditions.
Day Five: Tamsoult - Waterfalls Ighouliden- Aguelzim 3500m- Refuge Toubkal3208m
Day 5 will bring you past the biggest waterfall in the Toubkal region before you embark on 7-8n hours of trekking, up a steep incline to reach the Aguelzim Pass at 3600m with a breathtaking view over the Atlas Mountain villages and plain of Elhaouz, Your night will be spent in a refuge or tents at 3208m.
Day Six: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal peak 4167 - Refuge 3208m
After an early breakfast you will be trekking up to the highest peak in North Africa – an enormous 4167m at its peak. You will have an incredible view over the Saharan Desert plain, the Berber villages and valleys before you head down to the Refuge where we will spend another night. about 7 hours walk
Day Seven: Refuge 3208m - Ouankrim peak - Imlil - Marrakech
This is Optional day , if you are still OK and wanting to ascent another summit we can do that , if not we just head back to Marrakech from the refuge.
It will be an early start for your group as you head up Ouankrim, a neighboring peak, before heading back to the refuge for the lunch,then trek all the wy down to Imlil where you will meet the transport and back to Marrakech , 10 hours walk . night in Marrakech .
Day Eight: Fly Home
Airport transfer and fly home.

All Year Around ( From December to April we may change the itinerary depending on snow conditions but still make the Toubkal using crampons and axes .
